  • Are Cleaning forms properly signed off to indicate cleaning tasks have been completed? Check VAWS system or PAA?

  • Are all materials and supplies properly utilized and stored (includes glues, cleaning agents, chemicals, etc)? And are storage areas/cabinets clean and organized?

  • Are all work areas, mop rooms, break rooms, and store rooms neat and clean? Are all cleaning utensils (including mops, mop buckets, floor scrubbers, portable steps, and vacuums) properly stored (and stored cleaned) when not in use? This includes 5S Areas and Proper Tool Storage Requirements (ie, shovel/mop/hoe stored Heads Up off of floor, etc.?

  • Are PM80 boxes properly used, stored or labeled? And in good repair? What about portable carts or cabinets? Also, insure there is no comingling of Menthol and Non-Menthol/Regular boxes/containers.

  • Are all containers properly labeled and utilized (includes trash and reuse tobacco containers, and any buckets)? Are all chemicals properly labeled and stored and allowed for use in area? If not, were they removed for disposal? Are they clean?

  • Are drains clean with no debris build up or insects in drain? ALSO- If applicable- Is cover in place and also clean?

  • Are all employees complying with personnel practices requirements (this includes properly stored/IMEP approved materials, no food/drink items, no newspapers, etc. present, and wearing appropriate PPE)?

  • Are all areas kept clean and free from accumulations of old tobacco, moist tobacco, or sitting water of any type (includes looking for steam/condensate/chill water/process water/waste water/sprinkler leaks)?

  • Are all doors (pedestrian and roll-up) and windows working in proper order, closed if access to exterior of facility, and no gaps around edges or seals, and clean? If exterior doors (pedestrian and roll-up) and/or windows are left open, do they have screens to prevent pest entry, and are those in good repair?

  • Are conveyors clean and in good condition, including head and tail rollers? Are belts in good condition with no evidence of fraying or stapled sections tearing? Any evidence of beetle activity? What about for pneumatic conveying systems (clean/clear)?

  • Are all work areas free of excessive dust, dirt, and trash accumulations? What about overheads/tops of pipes or HVAC ductwork (and are these free of excessive build-up of molds- black or white types)? Floor scales clean/clear underneath?

  • Are walls, ceilings, and floors free of chipped/peeling paint or damaged surface coatings? What about cracks, crevices, and holes (including missing ceiling tiles, drain covers, etc.)? Are lights over product path zones shielded or covered properly? Are area associated catwalks and mezzanines clean and clear of debris and build up and in good repair?

  • Are all Lexan windows/covers in good repair and clean with no broken and missing pieces?

  • Are motorized equipment components free of oil leaks/lube spillage?

  • Are all guarding covers and screens in good repair and clean without open ended hollow points for dust accumulation or insect harborage (this includes covers over guard rail posts, electrical junction boxes, motor or pulley/chain covers,and sealed/undamaged concrete footings for equipment framework)?

  • Are all racking and product/raw material storage areas in good condition and clear/clean? What about pallets/bale boards (cracks/splits)?

  • Are vacuums utilized (if applicable) in good condition, clean, clear, and in working order? Are they stored empty andclean?

  • Are insulated lines (of any type) properly covered, with no loose or damaged/frayed insulation or coverings?

  • Are all equipment and utensils in area free of any tape or cardboard repairs/modifications, and if not, has the tape/cardboard been removed from equipment and the utensils removed from area for disposal?

  • Are electrical wire ways and cabinets exteriors clean and clear of debris, tobacco dust/products, and beetle activity?

  • Are all Fire Doors, extinguishers, Fire Hose Boxes, and Eye Wash Stations unlocked and clean?

  • Are there any other noted issues, concerns, or findings not previously addressed through questions 1-22 that need resolution?
