  • Were all daily checks carried out and recorded

  • Did the delegate understand the in cab quick hitch controls (Knowledge, Instructions, Manual?)

  • Were all fittings or hoses checked for damage, security or leaks

  • Has grease been applied to the quick hitch recently

  • Was the safety device clear of debris and dirt?

  • Was wear signs checked for on the mechanism, attachment pins, bucket and on the quick hitch hooks checked

  • Did the operator check the security of the mounting pins, locking bolts and nuts

  • Is the delegate ready for the main assessment?

3.0 - Main Practical assessment

  • Did the operative ensure the safety zone around the plant operation was controlled and maintained

  • Bucket correctly aligned and seated in Quick Hitch prior to connection

  • Quick hitch correctly inserted into the hooks and allowed to fall into position

  • Quick hitch applied and visual check made to ensure the quick hitch was located properly.

  • Did the operative check knarling the bucket that the quick hitch was correctly located and the bucket secure

  • Did the operative understand the lifting capacity of the machine and the rated load limit of the hitch

4.0 - Summary

  • Has the operator satisfactorily demonstrated or been mentored on the safe use of the quick hitch

  • Message for delegate.
