2.0 - Practical assessment

The delegate is told to travel travel to an area selected by the assessor.<br>Did the delegate travel to the area correctly without overly “spragging” or churning up the area, whilst maintaining good all round observation?

The assessor signals the delegate to stop and hold position, did the delegate stop and hold position until told to continue with the exercise ?

The delegate has been instructed to dig a trench to a specification. Did the delegate request the area be cat scanned before breaking ground?

Once the area has been scanned and is confirmed free of underground services the delegate is instructed to begin the digging exercise maintaining a straight and level trench.<br>Has the delegate maintained a straight level trench, ensuring clean and stable banks and all excavated material is clear of the “angle of repose” in a sealed mound?

The delegate is then instructed to backfill the excavated area.<br>Did the delegate backfill the trench in layers ensuring good compaction?
