Pre-arrival Preparation

Offload Instructions:

  • Demonstrates an understanding of the offload instructions:

  • Identify rolling stock requirements:

  • Identify Priority baggage locations and sequence of offloading:

  • Identify various cargo commodities and offload sequence.

  • Correctly completes offload message indicating any discrepancies as per operators SOPs.

Gate Preparation

  • Conducts pre arrival crew briefing:

  • Assigns set up and arrival duties as required:

  • Ensures gate area properly equipped and equipment safely staged for arrival. FOD Walk completed.

  • Ensures loaders are correctly configured for applicable aircraft type:

  • Conducts briefing with inbound baggage runner ( when available ) regarding the sequence of baggage offloading.

  • Ensure guidance system set for applicable aircraft type:

  • Ensure passenger loading bridge(s) in correct position:

  • Checks with airline ops agent when possible for further specific instructions:

Arrival and Offload

  • Demonstrates areas of concern during post arrival walkaround:

  • Demonstrates correct chock and cone placement as per Operators SOPs:

  • Demonstrates correct door opening procedures:

  • Demonstrates a knowledge of forward and aft container and pallet configurations and associated locking protocols:

  • Understands aircraft anti-tipping requirements during offloading.

  • Understands GPU, CAU AND APU requirements:

  • Understands lav and water service protocols:

  • Identify APU hazard area and APU fire panel location and operation:

  • Identify fuel panel(s) and fuel vent location.

Layover and Overnight requirements:

  • Demonstrates cabin door operation and precautions:

  • Understands placement of portable GPU, CAU and Passenger Stairs:

  • Understands removal of equipment and door closure on extended layovers:

Onload and Departure:

  • Conducts crew briefing prior to on load.

  • Demonstrates a knowledge of forward and aft container and pallet configurations and associated locking protocols:

  • Understands aircraft anti-tipping requirements during loading:

  • Understands removal of equipment and door closure procedures:

  • Demonstrates proper towbar and connection protocols:

  • Demonstrates proper pushback tractor and connection protocols:

  • Demonstrates areas of concern during pre-departure walkaround including FOD walk:

  • Demonstrates ability to perform safe pushback and disconnect procedures:

Post Departure:

  • Ensures load sheet completed, signed and returned to Airline Operations Agent.

  • Ensures gate area clear of equipment
