  • Is the area around computer/cash register tidy and free of excessive electrical cords?

  • Is the floor behind the counter clear of boxes and other clutter?

  • Are all electrical cords safe and neatly bundled together?

  • Is the counter area free from excess or damaged stock?

Security

  • Are all door/window locks in good repair and locked?

  • Is the till/cash register empty and left secure?

  • Is the video surveillance system checked and taped daily?

  • Are all specific security measures in working order? (i.e. Anti-theft tags and sensors, etc)

  • Is fire alarm on and working?

  • Fire escapes are clear?

Storage

  • Are floors around racking clear of rubbish?

  • Are storage boxes stacked safely?

  • Are storage areas secure?

  • Are all back of house lights are turned off?

Loading Area

Staff Areas

  • Staff toilets are clean and taps are turned off?

  • Canteen and kitchens are clean and all equipment is turned off?
