  • Is there protection in place to stop people from falling in?

  • Are suitable measures in place to prevent plant, machinery and vehicles from falling in?

  • Are all materials, spoil and equipment suitably stored away from the edge of the excavation?

  • Are signs in place to warn of deep excavations?
