RACK INSTALLATIONS

  • Rack installed as per floor plan.

  • Earth bar relocated to bottom of rack.

  • Isolation requirements met:<br>

  • 35mm spacing between any other rack and wall

  • 270mm from rear of wall ( unistrut mounted to achieve this)

  • Top bracket installed with isolation achieved.<br>

  • 35mm earth from earth bar to SPC.

  • Rack labelled as per Telstra standard.

  • 2nd and 3rd rack installed with isolation achieved.<br>

RBS 6202 INSTALLATION

  • RBS a installed in rack as per design layout.

  • 4 RU spacing a left above RBS for fan unit.

  • All 10 x captive nuts used to install RBS.

  • RBS support brackets removed to free up space.

  • 35mm earth cable connected to earth point on left hand side using flat and spring washers provided.

  • 35mm earth ran from RBS to rack earth bar.

  • 35mm power cable ran on left hand side.

  • Power and earth cable do not impede access to fan units.

  • 125A CB used.

  • Correct connections used to connect to power systems and covered in heat shrink.

  • Cables labelled at both ends and covered in clear heat shrink.<br>

  • DC CB legend updated.

FILTER / COMBINER INSTALLATION

  • Filters and Combiners positioned in rack as per layout.

  • Tails formed in neatly.

  • RF connectors torqued to 28 or 25Nm as per manufactures instructions.

  • Feeders labelled including Feeder Opening Point labels.

  • Combiner labels to be in plastic pouches and fitted towards the bottom ( below the securing rail).

SIU-02

  • SIU-02 is powered from DC power system and fed from 6A CB.

  • Cable guide installed below SIU-02.

FIBRE'S

  • All fibres ran in corrugated conduit and fastened to overhead cable tray.

  • MPO cassette patch panels installed where fibre are not l one enough to reach new rack.

  • There is enough slacking the MTP patch cables to pull the patch tray forward.

  • MTP patch panels labelled.

  • Fibre conduits routed down right hand side of the racks.

  • Excess fibre stored in fibre management trays.

GPS INSTALLATION

  • GPS installed in correct position as per FC drawings / design.

  • GPS is separated from any mobiles antenna by 2m.<br>

  • Surge arrestor mounted in horizontal fashion close to gland window.

  • Surge arrestor is left 'floating'.

  • Surge arrestor earthed back to FEB using 35mm earth in conduit.<br>

  • Earth cable is labelled at both ends.

  • RF cable bridproofed and labelled.

  • If the RF cable is greater than 5m than the GPS antenna is earthed back to FEB with 35mm earth cable, bridproofed and labelled.

  • 4 way GPS splitter mounted close to height of first row of Combiners.

  • GPS receiver mounted close to second row of Combiners.

  • GPS splitter and receiver connected together using SMA cables.

  • All SMA cables labelled.

  • GPS receiver cables connected to RBS 6202 in correct sequence.

  • All GPS cables labelled.
