Safety Inspection

  • Cords and hoses are in good condition.

  • Cords and hoses are properly stored and arranged to prevent a trip / fall hazard.

  • Extension cords are only being used for mobile printers and where temporary power is required.

  • Pallets are wrapped and stored properly in designated warehouse locations.

  • Floors are swept and in good condition, free of water, ice, debris and dirt.

  • Extra pallets are stacked straight.

  • Exit doors, fire extinguishers, and electrical boxes are not blocked and accessible for use. (minimum of 3ft open space required)

  • MHE operators observed following safe operating practices and procedures. (complete stops, proper horn use, 3-points of contact, not talking from lift, 6ft / 10ft rule)

  • Lift Operators follow 1-bay and 3-bay rules during put-away and picking processes.

  • Check racking for any equipment-related damage that may not have been reported.

  • Fall protection equipment used properly.

  • PPE is in good condition and utilized where required.

  • TM's observed using proper lifting techniques.

  • All visitors and contractors are wearing high-viz gear.

  • Pedestrian traffic is on the West side of the dock and right hand side of the storage rooms.

  • Test at least 3 Team Members for knowledge on evacuation and shelter inside.

  • No un-labeled chemical bottles in use.

  • Chemicals not in use are stored properly.

  • Hazardous Chemical storage cabinets are locked when not in use.

  • Exterior lights are operational and in good condition.

  • Team Member parking is free of trash and debris.

  • Truck and trailer parking is free of trash and debris.
