  • Class 2 and class 3 separation in place

  • Material safety data sheet sign visible at the front counter

Housekeeping / storage

  • Floor/yard area clear of rubbish and other items

  • Appropriate access to mezzanine floor, and correct signage (e.g. Authorised access only)

  • Timber packs not stacked more than four high

  • Canteen area clean, tidy and hygienic

  • All aisles and walkways clear and free for use

  • Electrical / pneumatic leads kept tidy and stored safely, so as not to be a trip hazard

Asset Protection

  • Perimeter fence and entry / exit gates intact

  • Electrical cabinets closed and suitably signed

  • Electrical cords tagged and current (check next test date)

  • Lighting all good, and sufficient for work requirements

  • Smoking policy enforced (I.e. Smoking only happening in designated areas)

  • Area signs visible and attached to the wall

  • Signs clear and easy to read (I.e. No cracks or fading)

First Aid / Spill Kit

  • In checking the first aid kits (using separate checklist) did they meet all of the requirements?

  • In checking all of the spill kits, were all of the components present and the reorder checklist available?
