Ensure controller sticks are centered, IOC set to OFF, mode set to GPS (or ATTI if required).
Power on controller first, then put flight battery into aircraft and connect any accessories before hooking up main power. When connecting main power, it will go through startup checks and IMU warm up. Do not attempt to stow the excess cables and close the battery door until the aircraft has started to indicate state and satellite lock. If there is a constant red/yellow indication it will be necessary to carry out compass calibration immediately.

Once a fast series of green lights has been seen, start the motors to check that all props are spinning. Apply some throttle to hover at about 2-6ft above ground, and test the pitch (foward & back), roll (to left and right) and yaw (rotate CW and CCW).
