Before you go:

  • Brief with AOC.

  • Brief with Charter Sourcing Coordinators for special instructions.

  • Contact vendors to make sure they are ready for arrival.

  • Determine the GSC.

  • Determine how you will navigate the airport to fulfill responsibilities.

When you arrive:

  • Ensure minimum crew prior to boarding.

  • Introduce yourself to the crew and communicate your job responsibilities.

  • Pilots: Communicate that you will be assisting with load planning and load sheet completion.

  • Flight Attendants: Explain that you will be assisting with exit seating, first class, and load sheet.

  • Start completing the load sheet, estimate baggage at 1 per pax. And check with crew for:

  • Fuel: Will they be requesting service

  • Load plan: Preliminary plan

  • Cabin: Number of exit seats available for assignment

At charter station

  • Introduce yourself to service providers and understand the "lay of the land."

  • Find out who is working the flight

  • Passengers needing assistance are boarded first

  • Obtain bag count and communicate load plan

  • Check ramp. Ensure:

  • Gears chalked, cones in place

  • Beltloader position, GSE chocked.

  • Electric wheelchairs get strapped in zone 2

  • Add media

Boarding:

  • Discuss boarding priority with gate staff. Enforce carry-on baggage rules.

  • Requiring assistance

  • First class and exit rows

  • General boarding

  • Assign exit seating when needed. Qualify exit row passengers.

  • Assist with boarding. Ensure names are checked off manifest.

Prior to departure:

  • Resolve any security or customer service issues. Work with FAA and TSA inspectors.

  • When loading from ramp, ensure proper escorts are positioned for safety.

  • Complete load sheet, determine counts for passenger and baggage.

  • Head count in cabin

  • Baggage from ramp

  • Add in baggage/COMAT from other stations

  • Departure briefing between ground and crew.

  • Power out

  • Push back

  • Bypass pin installed

  • Tow connected

  • Flight closeout complete

  • Inhibited Pax

  • No Shows

  • Name changes

  • Ensure flight close

  • Add media
