VDI

  • At the beginning of each shift or each time during shift a new vehicle is to be used, Trust drivers must check their vehicles to ensure they comply with the law.

    If any of the following items are not present an attempt should be made to rectify these during the checking process. If this is not possible, the vehicle should be marked as VOR.

    The following items form the VDI and MUST be checked:

Bodywork and number plates

  • Vehicle Bodywork Clean and Intact

  • Number Plates Present & Clean

Under Bonnet Checks

  • Oil Levels within Max/Min

  • Coolant Levels within Max/Min

  • Brake Fluid Level within Max/Min

  • Windscreen Washer Levels within Max/Min

Engine

  • Prior to starting the engine, please fit filters to the exhaust if the vehicle is in the garage.

  • Exhaust Filter Used

  • Filter Number

  • Give reason for not using filter

  • Give reason for not starting the engine

Glass, mirrors and windscreen wash and wipers (condition and operation)
