  • 6.3 - Is the cabinet in an internal storeroom or room (eg. not in an outside garage, store etc.)?

  • 6.4 - Does the cabinet have a suitable trefoil on it?

  • 6.5 - Is the storeroom lockable?

  • 6.6 - Is the storeroom only accessible by science staff?

  • 6.7 - Is the metal cabinet stored well away from highly flammable materials?

  • 6.8 - Is the metal cabinet stored well away from corrosive materials?

  • 6.9 - Are only sources stored in the cabinet, and not equipment?

  • 6.10 - Is the key to the cabinet restricted and held securely?

  • 6.11 - Is the cabinet at least two metres away from any regularly used workstation?

7 - Radioactive Sources

  • 7.1 - Are the sources held within the Standard School Holding, or have been justified and approved?

  • 7.2 - Are there any 'unknown' or strange objects in the cabinet?

  • 7.3 - Is there any waste material with no arrangements for prompt disposal?
