Process - Disconnecting service mains at Distribution

Test all equipment and PPE.

WHRA completed and signed.

Safety Observer in Place.

Independent earth installed.

Insulating matts installed as required and correct.

Test from independent earth to all distribution conductors, identify suspect neutral and active conductors.

Disconnect and remove independent earth.

Test from suspect neutral and other conductors to confirm neutral.

Confirm isolation at switchboard.

Check for load on service mains prior to disconnection.

Disconnect actives first and neutral conductor last.

Lower each conductor to the ground safely.
Process - Connecting service mains at Distribution

Install approved fixing for Service mains on pole.

Raise Service mains with approved lifting device.

Install Service mains and tension.

Use approved tool to clean Distribution mains prior to connection.

Test from independent earth to all distribution conductors, identify suspect neutral and active conductors.

Disconnect and remove independent earth.

Install neutral service main to distribution main.

Install service actives to distribution mains.
-
Remove any insulating matts from distribution mains.
Completion.
