  • Are there adequate RAMS on site for the Work Activities.

  • Are the RAMS sign by all applicable Operatives.

  • Check to see Operatives are working according to the approved RAMS.

  • Are there any open Permits To Work

  • Are the Permits compliant

Site Compound

  • Is Welfare adequate for the number of Operatives on site.

  • Have the Welfare Facilities got adequate plumbing, electrical & water supply.

  • Are facilities clean and tidy.

  • Ensure wholesome drinking water & cups are provided.

  • Are there adequate number of toilets.

  • Are the toilets clean and tidy.

  • Is there a compliant first aid box.

  • Who is the First Aider on Site

  • Are there other First Aid qualified staff on site.

  • Are materials stored in a secure & safe manner.

  • Are COSHH controls in place. e.g. data sheets available & controls implimented.

  • Is Housekeeping compliant.

  • Is there a padlock for the storage container.

  • Has the Site Compound been Set Up in accordance to Constructive Drawings.

  • Have materials been stored in such a way as to reduce the likelihood of combustion.

  • Are there suitable fire extinguishers provided and maintained in good condition.

  • Check fire extinguishers have had their annual inspection.

  • Are fire extinguishers distributed adequately around site & clear accessible & visible.

Access & Egres

  • Is there safe access & egress to all working areas.

  • Is there clear & appropriate segregation from plant & people.

  • Are walkways free from obstructions.

  • Is there adequate lighting.

  • Are emergency exit routes clear and well signed.
