The proper technique if using in - ear plugs is to: 1) ensure hands are clean, 2) roll up the ear plug with your fingers, 3) with the opposite hand open the ear canal by grabbing and lifting the top of your ear, 4) insert the ear plug, 5) maintain pressure on the ear plug for approximately 3 seconds while it expands, 6) repeat on the other ear.
Hearing protection is required in all areas of the facility with the exception of: buffer warehouse, Palletizers, break areas, offices, and non - process exterior areas.
