Start from street looking back towards business

  • Trees / Shrubs / Garden maintained

Reception

Reception - walk through like a customer would

  • Site sign in book used correctly- WMS and Induction cards sited. Note last time Repco/Waste contractors on site

  • Site Safety Information filled in the front page of that book

  • Floors/walls/ceiling/lights are clean. Marks/fingerprints/spiderwebs/dead flies/mopped

  • Windows clean, and window surrounds free of dust

  • Counter clean and tidy. Only business cards on counter top

  • Coffee table clear. <br>Any material for reading to be left under counter and offered when needed

  • Name tags being worn by office staff

  • Team members dressed to company standards. Uniform/Footware/Eye wear

Managers Office

Managers desk and surrounding area

  • In managers desk "Impeccable", Flawless as a measure of showing an example of clean work space?

  • Is there any old job cards in job card holder?

  • Does the store have a third PC and is it being used?

  • Open draws and cabinets to see if in orderly, manageable state

  • Fax machine in working order, back up ink cartridges available.

  • Floor, bench and walls cleaned

Lunchroom

  • Room is clean and tidy to company standards which is found in safe work practice

  • First Aid box fixed to wall, and supplied. Check dates of grab packs and check Alsco last visit is signed

  • Safety board has up to date information to planner

  • Safety Activity book on clipboard and up to date. All actions transferred to action plan on same clipboard

  • Code of conduct present on clip board and hanging on hook

  • SWG minutes and workshop warnings up to date

  • Staff have signed on for today, and off for previous days

  • Sink clean, dishes etc being cleaned as you go. Tea towels available from Alsco

  • Bin is present, has a lid, it's clean and emptied regularly. Garbage bags used and supplied

  • Fridge, kettle and microwave clean and tidy. Coffee and tea/sugar supplied. Cups and plates supplied

Toilet and Change Room

  • Bathroom clean, toilet clean, basin clean, wall and mirror clean

  • Hand wash available, toilet paper available, hand towel available, Glen 20 available.

  • Cleaning roster in place, toilet brush available, ladies Pink bin (if req), floor cleaner and toilet cleaner available under basin

  • Consumables available. Extra toilet rolls/soap/air freshener

  • Lights working and locks working

Changeroom

  • Clean and tidy, walls and floors cleaned

  • Dirty laundry basket/bag supplied

  • Safe not covered or obstructed

  • Locker/shelf available for staff belongings

  • A chair available to help getting changed, so no hand/foot marks on walls

Parts Room

  • All stock is to model, and action plan for non model stock

  • Clean and tidy.mfloors mopped, walls clean.

  • All stock sealed as new. Each category has a home shelf ie oil filters/brakes etc, stock is model order

  • No stock on the floor at all. Wipers in stand, clamps in stand, globes in cabinet.

Tyre Racking/Storage

  • Tyre Lifter is clean and functional. Clear of any obstructions

  • Tyres put away, within a timely manner of delivery

  • Tyres in order by stocktake list. Tyre stickers facing so labels can be read.

  • No floor stack above grey paint line/ no fire facilities impeded.

  • Tyre head count taken, and overstocks or OT tyres given action plan to clear

Workshop

  • Safety glasses worn at all times. Visitors (Cust/vendors) wearing safety glasses as well.

  • No trip hazards or wet/electrical hazards

  • Daily checks of equipment being completed.<br>Verify book procedure, who does it, show me.

  • All staff dressed to expectations. Footware /uniform, shirts tucked in, shaven.

  • Floors cleaned, hoists cleaned, all equipment cleaned, nothing on the floor.

  • Work benches clean, and only current work load on benches

  • Rubbish bins managed, check oil waste/ oil filter waste/ battery waste/ metals waste/ tyre waste

  • All walls are clean

  • All roller doors closed and inspected. Check if they are clean or dirty

  • Staff tool boxes clean and maintained. Are tools put away each time?

  • Check Managers tools. Look for stored correctly. Is tool set complete?

Staff Members

Have a 5 minute individual non formal chat with each employee, and note conversation topics in text.

  • Any staff not completed safety Safe Work Practices

  • Staff aware of last years company results, and what the discovery journey has meant to them

  • Staff aware of the stores current sales results, tyre results and service results.

  • Are staff aware of what the efficiency drive is and how store is going.

  • Ask staff member what is unique about the safety in their store. What are obstacles that are specific to their store?<br>Ie "watch out when reversing as we have limited visibility"

Last store visit items completed?

Ask store manager to supply notes of all previous visits

  • Are all tasks that are in managers control completed? <br>If not is there any email/phone call notes from manager?<br>Note any outstanding. Yes is given if completed all tasks in managers control.
