Frame Position

  • Check external wall bottom plates do not overhang more than 10mm.

Tiedown/Bracing

  • Tie down fixings to slab at least 50mm from slab edge.

  • Tie down rods/bolts per approved plans & fixed, rods clear of roofing battens and sheeting at top.

  • Cyclone straps to trusses with 6mm mech driven fixing each side

  • Strap lintel to ribbon plate- min 6 nails each side.

  • Provide batten screw connection/creeper bracket to all hip creeper rafters that exceed 1800mm.

  • All wall bracing in position as required on approved plans and properly fixed including tie-down rods, nails not overdriven.

  • Ply bracing nailed off correctly 50mm top/bottom, 150mm sides,300mm internal fixings.

  • Transfer noggings installed connecting bracing walls to trussed roof frame -batten screwed, not nailed.

  • Non load bearing walls connected to trusses with slotted wall brackets where required.

Other

  • Truss layout consistent with the truss plan and fixed at correct centers-rafters/truss strapped to head within 100mm of each truss

  • Are any standard trusses bowed

  • Studs under point loads/girder trusses

  • Roof and truss point loads supported and blocked if required.

  • Check A/C opening space/location.

  • Are steel posts installed. If not will they be ready for lock up?

  • Review beam connections

  • Timber posts cup heads to face the street, recessed washer/nut.

  • is the timber frame mould affected?

  • Check waste pipe locations are per plan.

  • Check floor joist layout as per plan.

  • Particleboard flooring glued/screwed per layout pattern.

  • All boots nailed/screwed correctly.

  • Balcony beams & Joists installed & ends sealed

  • Are fall guards in place-void/openings
