ANNUAL SWITCHBOARD INSPECTION

  • Service IAW State Legislation, AS3760-2010, WHS Requirements (working with electricity) and the following instructions.

  • Good - No work required Fair - Item/s to be rectified, no impact on performance Poor - Rectification needed ASAP!

  • Check access to switchboard is clear of obstacles

  • Check electrical switchboard for correct operation

  • Perform visual check for condition and correctness of earthing

  • Check main earth connections and continuity

  • Check electrical switchboard and components for excessive heat discolouration, noise and vibration.

  • Check switches, contactors, breakers, fuses, wiring and cable terminations for damage

  • Check drawings, instructions, labelling and schedules are in place and up to date

  • Check temperature of components and connections using thermal imaging device

  • Thermal Photo #'s (eg. FLIR0426-FLIR0429)

  • Check load balance. Enter readings in Notes: Red - White - Blue (A)

  • Enter Voltage readings: Red - White - Blue (V)

  • Check all fixings, doors and covers are tight and in place and that all hinges, handles, keys and locks are secured and functioning correctly

  • Ensure all gaskets provide a good seal

  • Check no vermin entry points exist

  • Check fire ratings of electrical switchboards and riser cupboards are preserved

  • Ensure sufficient spare fuses are present (if applicable)

  • Clean all accumulated dust out of enclosed area

  • Condition assessment - Add any general comments here!

  • This is the end of the switchboard inspection! Continue for the RCD testing.

  • Fluke Memory A = Switchboard name (eg. 0001 = DB-AD) (For RCD Injection testing records)

  • Complete Bus/Chassis (Light, Power, A.C/Mech) for each section in the Switchboard

  • BUS/CHASSIS
  • Fluke Memory B - Bus/Chassis reference

  • Fluke Memory C - This will be the C/B number. Add any C/B names in this field.

  • Have all RCD's passed the required testing?<br>Please record any faults here and attach photo of faulty component.

  • When all Bus/Chassis are complete, go to: Add new Switchboard. (If more switchboards in the building)
    Otherwise go to: Add new building

  • When every Switchboard in the building has been tested, go to: Add new Building.

  • NOTE: Do not complete form until all buildings have been tested. Once the whole site is complete, sign off and create report.
