Documentation

  • Ensure the operator's manual is easily accessible in the EWP. If the operator's manual is in poor condition or the location of the operator's manual is going to lead to deterioration or getting lost, the response is to be "FAIR".

  • Operator's manual on machine, in English and legible.

  • Ensure the logbook is present on the machine, any defects have been rectified or identified and reported to demonstrate the appropriate use of the logbook. If the log book is present and shows little signs of consistent use OR the machine has unreported defects - the response is to be "FAIR".

  • Logbook in EWP and in usable condition.

  • Ensure a current risk assessment, specific to that unit, is located on the EWP

  • Plant risk assessment on machine and legible.
