Documentation

  • Ensure the operator's manual is easily accessible in the EWP. If the operator's manual is in poor condition or the location of the operator's manual is going to lead to deterioration or getting lost the response is to be "FAIR".

Damages

EWP Inspection

Chassis/Lower Frame

  • Inspect lower structure for signs of deformation and corrosion

  • Tie Down Point

  • Tyres and wheels - no signs of cuts, nicks or abrasion

  • Wheel nuts and bolts - indicators in place and tight

  • Inspect axles for signs of damage

  • Axle extension and chassis lifting cylinder

  • Cowling covers - fitted and secure

  • Inspect drive motors for leaks and condition

  • Hi- Rail wheels in good condition, functioning correctly

  • Inspect slew gear - Ensure machine is slewed through 360 degrees
