  • Are the anti-slip feet on metal and fibreglass ladders / Stepladders in place, undamaged and not unduly worn ?

  • Are the feet free from items such as stones, grease, dirt preventing the equipment from making direct contact with the ground?

  • Are the rungs, stiles or platform free from mud, grease, oil, paint, cracks or warped ?

  • Are the screw fittings, hinges or rivets worn or corroded ?

  • Are the stiles (uprights) in good condition. Not painted, split, cracked, bent, notches missing screws loose
