Are personal items of staff and medical staff properly secured?

Are all employees wearing their ID badges in plain view?

Confidential information is secure and HIPAA practices are followed

Are all sensitive areas properly secured? (i.e. mechanical and electrical rooms locked, etc.) Indicate locations that are deficient.

Medications are kept secured

Does equipment not have any exposed wires? Check the plug for exposed wires.

Are all high-risk medical equipment inspection tags current (e.g. ventilators, defibrillators)? Check all equipment for expiration dates. Leased equipment must also have been initially inspected.

Are all non-high-risk medical equipment inspection tags current? Check all equipment for expiration dates. Leased equipment must also have been initially inspected.

Is defective equipment tagged and removed from service?

Does the equipment's cleanliness, paint, wiring, and covers appear satisfactory?
