  • "Roof and Gutters"<br>If accessible via the roof access point only. Is the roof and guttering free of debris?

  • "Landscaping"<br>Is the landscaping in good condition? Hedges and lawn edges should be trimmed and trees cut back from roof line, garden beds free of weeds and rubbish

  • "Car park" <br>Are all lines clearly marked and is the surface in good condition and free of pot holes and clear of rubbish?

  • "Signage" <br>Is all signage clearly visible and not obscured by foliage or graffiti?

  • "Facade"<br>Is the façade and façade paintwork in good condition?

  • "Water Leaks"<br>Are there any signs of water leakage from the roof? (stains, mildew, etc?)

  • "Furnishings"<br>Are all furniture coverings in clean and in good condition?

Health and Safety

  • "Fire Exits"<br>Are fire exits clear of obstruction?

  • "Exit Lighting"<br>Is fire exit signage illuminated, clear and visible?

  • "Evacuation Plans"<br>Are evacuation plans displayed and prominent?

  • "Break Glass"<br>Are break glass units intact, and free from obstruction and easily accessible?

  • "Extinguishers"<br>Are fire extinguishers on a fire stand or bracketed to the wall?

  • "Fire Equipment Testing"<br>Have extinguishers, fire blankets, hose reels been checked in the past 6 months? Include the date of test.

  • "Fire Doors"<br>Have the fire doors been checked in the past 6 months? Is the inspection tag attached to the fire door?

  • "Test & Tag"<br>Conduct a random check on electrical appliances in conjunction with the onsite contact. Have those appliances been tested and tagged within the last 6 months.

MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL

LIGHTING - Are all lights working in the following areas, is lighting sufficient? If no, please note the room number or nearest landmark.

  • Staircases

  • Paths, Hallways, Corridors

  • Toilets

  • General Office Areas

  • Kitchens

  • Student Common Areas

  • Plant Rooms

Mechanical

  • Are access control doors operational and do they close and latch properly?

  • Is the current indoor temperature condition acceptable to the onsite staff.

  • Are taps or any other plumbing items free from leaks or drips?

  • Where visible, does the A/C systems show any signs of excessive noise, leaks or rust?

  • Is the lift operational and interior clean and lights working. Does the lift emergency phone work?
