Vehicle inspection checklist-SPRAYER

Tank pressure test and check for leaks.

Check vehicle ride height and set.

Check torque on front tank pivot pin nut.

Check torque on both side rear tank mounts.

Check labeling of valves, LPG and LPG operating instructions.

Check light and reflector placement. Refer to ADR 13/00 for details.

Check mounting of 2 x 9.0 kg dry powder fire extinguishers.

Check mounting of cabin fire extinguisher.

Check mounting of engine strangler and safety shower.

Check DO NOT OVERTAKE signs.

Check operation of battery isolation switch and rollover switch.

Check hydraulic pump drive shaft bolts and nuts and grease, 3 points.

Check torque on hydraulic pump drive flange bolts & hydraulic pump shaft spline coupling.

Check dipstick.

Check high and low level burner safety placard.

Check operation and placement of lights with engine running and also with ignition only on.

LPG System pressure test and check. Before gas is filled

LPG system pressure test and check. After gas is filled

Check handrail operation.

Check tank hatch and seal.

Check dipstick cam lock and seal.

Check fitment and number of Hazchem placards.

Check subsidiary risk diamonds at front of truck.

Ensure there are 3 off

Check mudflap and mudguards.

Check hose trays.

Check bitumen transfer hose for fitment and tag.

Check inner burner tube fitment.

Check burner cover operation.

Check chimney flue operation for locking open and closing.

Check Pump and Road speed PLCs for accuracy and program.

Check spray bar taps for correct opening and closing.

Check quick shut valve on spray bar for sealing.

Pressure test spray bar and pipe work.

Check fitment of outside suction and manifold filters.

Remove filter and ensure there is no sediments inside.

Check hydraulic pump for forward / reverse operation & accuracy with digital tachometer.

Check compliance plate & approval plate information conforms with vehicle manufactures chassis / V.I.N No's. & Engine No.

Check crimp length white mark on hydraulic hoses is in line with end of fitting.

Check hand wash water bottle and bracket.

Check stainless steel static strip.

Check all temperature & pressure gauge bezels that hold the glass in place for tightness & put silastic sealant in two places to prevent vibration from loosening.

Ensure wash down hose is installed

Ensure flush box has the following

Ensure the following fire extinguishers are up to date, has the right type,& in proper locations:

a. 2kg fire extinguisher type 3A:30B:E to be placed in cab

b. 9kg fire extinguisher type ABE; model # FSZ 900; 1 pc. in front of tank and 1 pc. rear of tank

c. 9kg portable eye wash; 1 pc in front of tank

d. engine strangler (sapphire); part # AAK00758; 1 pc. in front of tank

NOTE: Month & year stamped on the tag attached to the fire extinguisher must be no later
