Weekly checklist (external)

Have little used outlets been flushed

Have fire call points been tested and recorded

Are play ares/fields in a good condition and are they clear of rubbish, foreign objects i.e. discarded needles ect.

Are fences and gates secure and in good condition with rubber stops/buffers in place

Is play equipment and surfacing clean and free of hazards.

Are any foundations exposed, loose in ground or cracked.

Are any parts missing or damaged

Is safer surfacing compacted, free of damage, puddles, any sharp objects or contaminates.

Are car parks, main access/egress routes & play areas free from leaves, mud, algae or other slip trip hazards

Are grids and grid covers secure and in good condition.

Steps- are the handrails sufficient, are they in good condition and are the steps in good condition to give flat even surface.

is the lighting sufficient and in good working order to highlight slip, trip or fall hazards during winter months.

Are paving slabs and paths secure and in good condition to give flat, even surface.

Emergency exits- are exterior areas kept clear of obstruction including vegetation and debris? are emergency exits clearly marked?

Parking areas- are they free of potholes?

Building perimeter- are there any areas that have been damaged that could compromise the safety or security of the building?

Other Safety/security Issues- the above list is not exhaustive and are there any other issues that affect the safety or security of the grounds and building?
