Is there sufficient distance from sources of noise so that rest and sleep is not disturbed?

Does the living accommodation provide a comfortable place of rest that is not subjected to high/constant levels of noise that disturbs sleep?

Is there adequate sanitary arrangements including bathrooms, toilets, housekeeping and waste?

Are welfare facilities adequate in their capacity?

Are welfare facilities subjected to regular housekeeping checks and cleaning programmes?

Are welfare facilities clean and tidy? (Good cleaning programme and housekeeping)

Is there any drainage issues associated with the personal cabins or communal toilets?

Are there adequate waste disposal facilities and procedures? (Confirm that waste disposal is managed and that waste is removed at an adequate frequency) Check waste segregation bins

Has living accommodation adequate and secure storage facilities for clothing and personal possessions?

Has the living accommodation adequate lighting, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) to manage humidity and temperature control?

Are there suitable and sufficient laundry facilities and services being provided for both work and personal clothing?

Do the bed linen and room towels get changed on a regular basis?

Are there any significant issues with the laundry facilities and services that are being provided.

Are there adequate areas and facilities (lockable) for male work wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) changing?

Is there adequate and sufficient potable water available?

Is there adequate dedicated smoking areas?

Do welfare facilities have suitable air extraction which is being cleaned and maintained?

Are there adequate arrangements in place for collective social/rest spaces for workers? (This may include provision of comfortable lounge areas, for TV, cinema, internet or quiet areas for reading).

Are social communications arrangements in place adequate? (Social communications arrangements that offer access to telecommunications and internet).
