Scoring Criteria
Compliant – No shortfalls identified, criteria met or standards required achieved
Partially Compliant – Minor shortfalls identified in the standard or requirement, minor opportunities for improvement identified and the standard is still to an acceptable level. (For Example -PAT Testing – Most items tested and in date however a few units have been missed)
Non-Compliant – The standard or requirement has not been achieved and deemed to be unacceptable. Immediate action is required to address the shortfall/s (Example – PAT Testing – Most items out of date and not tested) -
Access/egress clear – Pedestrian and road access/egress are clear and undamaged with no evidence of slip hazards? Fire Exit Routes clear and Fire Exit signs illuminated? (Ensure Fire exit Doors are unlocked and open in the direction of escape)

Information systems / Notice Boards – Information systems such as safety signs, visible and in good condition. Does the notice board comply with relevant standard? (HASWA Poster, First Aid, Emergency Contacts, ERP and Evacuation Plan)

Tools & Racking Systems – Tools inspected and in good condition, racking systems inspected with SWL labelled and racking not overloaded?

Welfare– Toilets, kitchens and rest areas are clean and tidy with washing facilities available? (Soap, toilet paper, towels etc...)

Waste/material control - All waste in correct disposal container. General area free from all waste materials. There is no uncontrolled waste. Waste Streams not mixed?

Workshop Machinery – Fixed machinery in good condition and locked / isolated to prevent unauthorised use? Risk Assessments in place on machinery?

Substances stored Correctly – Substances such as oils, adhesives, etc. have been stored correctly and storage area locked. COSHH RA's available on request. Work benches free from debris, spill capacity not exceeded on bunded areas.

Emergency Communication – Emergency phones, Radios, fire call points and Fire System available and in good working order?

Emergency Equipment - Firefighting equipment, eyewash stations, spill kits, Defibs, first aid equipment are all in place, undamaged and ready for use/replenished.

Electrical – Internal/external lighting is undamaged and (where possible to establish) functional? PAT Testing conducted and in date.
