Inspection -

  • Scoring Criteria
    Compliant – No shortfalls identified, criteria met or standards required achieved
    Partially Compliant – Minor shortfalls identified in the standard or requirement, minor opportunities for improvement identified and the standard is still to an acceptable level. (For Example -PAT Testing – Most items tested and in date however a few units have been missed)
    Non-Compliant – The standard or requirement has not been achieved and deemed to be unacceptable. Immediate action is required to address the shortfall/s (Example – PAT Testing – Most items out of date and not tested)

  • Is all equipment PAT tested and all correctly labelled?

  • Are the cables routed in a good position?

  • What is the condition of the equipment, including cables, plugs, sockets etc.(Not overloaded, cracked cases)

  • Area is free from unmanaged leaks and spills – Leaks and spills should be monitored and kept as clean as possible until a repair or modification can be completed to remedy the situation.

  • If oil leaks are identified are suitable oil pads down and in good condition? (Not saturated) Oil catchers / containers not full and well managed? Ensure no oil leaks are coming in to contact with hot surfaces

  • Is there a Fire Risk Assessment for the building / asset and is it in date?

  • Bunds – Are bunds in place where necessary (i.e. Portable Bund Under Generators) Are they clean and the correct size?

  • Is firefighting equipment in good condition and within inspection date? (Annual inspection required on Fire Extinguishers)

  • Are fire detection systems operational and in working order? Are the systems within inspection date?

  • Fire Loading – Is the area free from combustible materials such as stored wooden pallets, stored waste, uncontrolled substances?

  • Are emergency exits free from obstruction?

  • Hot Work - Are Hot Work (HW) activities well controlled with HW Permit in place and Control Measures implemented at the point of work?
