Compliant – No shortfalls identified, criteria met or standards required achieved
Partially Compliant – Minor shortfalls identified in the standard or requirement, minor opportunities for improvement identified and the standard is still to an acceptable level. (For Example -PAT Testing – Most items tested and in date however a few units have been missed)
Non-Compliant – The standard or requirement has not been achieved and deemed to be unacceptable. Immediate action is required to address the shortfall/s (Example – PAT Testing – Most items out of date and not tested) -
Access to vehicle – Access to vehicles is restricted to authorised personnel only?

Safety devices are correct – Vehicles should be fitted with correct warning devices. Amber flashing beacons and reversing audible warning device. Legend plates for vehicle capability’s (Mobile plant) should be present. Seat belts, safety cages, dead man switches should all be correct.

Emergency Equipment - All warning signs in good order. All EDF owned vehicles must carry a high viz vest and warning triangle. Should fluids be carried, spill kits should be included.

Loads – All items on or in vans must be secure and free from waste? Substances carried must be secure and labelled correctly?

Vehicle safely positioned – Vehicles and mobile plant must be stored in a safe location and keys accessible. General highway code rules apply for road parking (not causing obstructions, not close to junctions or crossing points). Parked vehicles and plant should be on flat level hard standing. Vehicles not parked under high voltage lines (Induced Voltage Risk)
