• Is a traffic management plan needed/in place either on site or around the site?

• Is signage required? Has it been provided and is it correctly placed?

• High visibility clothing, safety foot ware, sun/weather protection, eye protection, hearing protection, helmets, gloves, task specific protection all correct type and being used?

Materials

• Correct selection and use of materials and substances?

Manual handling

• Correct techniques used - could this be eliminated by using plant, machinery or equipment?

Supervision

• Is it clear who the supervisor is - does he/she appear competent?

Emergency response

• What procedures are in place in the event of an emergency? Are first and facilities adequate?
