Zip Line Retriever Evaluation

Zip Line Retrieval

  • Grab rope bag, lobster claws, and helmet.

  • Make sure there are 2 propane tanks and they are full

  • Turn on the gas connected to lift

  • Start the lift and warm it up for a couple minutes

  • Hook in to lobster claws on yellow lift bar

  • Test to make sure lift travels all the way up and down

  • Before the first participant goes wait for call from tower if the Zipline is clear and then reply over the radio. If no radios agree on hand signals before start of zips.

  • Throw participant the rope and tell them to hold on tightly

  • Pull participant over the lift

  • Start the lift and raise the lift all the way up to the Zipline, not just where the participant can touch the lift, all the way up.

  • Take the short tether off the trolley and connect directly to the lift

  • Flip the trolley onto the spine of the long tether carabiner and disconnect the long tether from the Zipline.

  • Have the participant hold the trolley assembly

  • Lower the lift all the way down to the stairs

  • Turn off the lift

  • Disconnect participant and self from lift

  • Walk off the lift at least onto the top of the stairs

  • Call upto tower "X base to X tower, Zipline is clear."

  • At the end of the zip sessions, turn off gas.

  • Take rope, lobster claws, and helmet back to conex.
