Anchor

Chest

  • Check all 3 or 4 double back buckles are threaded properly and tied out of the way

  • Check that thick strap is above nipple line

Helmet

  • Check helmet is on top of head

  • Check circumference is proper

  • Check depth is proper

  • Check chin strap is connected and snug

Belay

  • Press check belay biner

  • Check knot for belay

  • Belay ropes through chest harness

  • Check rope grab functionality (gri-gri or prusik)

  • Verify belay is connected to rappel line or separate anchor

Misc

  • Confirm all gear is accessible
