  • Is signage required on site and if so, set up correctly?

Material Storage and Chemical Handling

  • Is all fuel and chemical containers labelled and stored correctly?

  • Are all Chemical MSDS sheets available on site?

  • Is there a spill kit available in the vehicle and is it stored correctly?

Personal Protective Equipment

  • Is high visibility workwear and safety equipment being worn on site?

  • Have PPE equipment requirements been assessed and documented?

  • Are the hard hats being worn, if required?

  • Is the PPE Gear being carried and stored correctly?

  • Does the PPE gear comply with Australian Safety Standards?

Onsite Operations and House Keeping

  • Do contract staff have copies of SWMS/ JSAs?

  • Is a copy of emergency phone numbers available?

  • Has the site been assessed for tripping and other hazards prior to commencement of work?

  • Where applicable, have the electrical tools being used been tested and tagged every 6 months?

Emergency response

  • Is there a first aid kit available on site and/ or in the vehicle?

  • Is there a trained first aid officer on site?

  • Is there a fire extinguisher in or on the vehicle that has been tested and tagged at appropriate intervals?

Summary
