Guest belongings must be straightened in the following manner

  • Shoes neatly paired and straightened

Bath terry and amenity service must minimally include

  • Bud vase flowers maintained, if provided

  • Guest amenities (e.g. shampoo, soap, lotion) refreshed with new bottle and neatly arranged

  • o If bottle has a reveal on the side of the bottle should be replaced only when it is less than 50% full

  • o It is acceptable if any used amenities are present in addition to the new, refreshed set

  • It is acceptable if the new amenities are placed elsewhere in the bathroom (i.e. counter) rather than in the bath/shower

  • Hair dryer cord properly coiled or neatly bundled with appropriate cord tie.

  • Glasses replenished, spot free and placed on a coaster

  • o Glasses must not be bagged/wrapped

  • It is acceptable if glasses are bagged/wrapped where local law requires

  • Towels replaced to original stock

  • o Towels properly folded and placed on rack with logo centered and facing out (if applicable)

  • o Towels left on floor must be replaced

  • o Towels left hanging must not be replaced

  • It is acceptable if used towels are straightened

  • Bathroom area rugs fresh and neatly in place

  • Robes available for guest

  • o One robe must be hung in bathroom on hanger

  • Bathroom tissue tipped

  • Bedding is properly serviced and is clean and in good condition

  • Hotel linen re-use program is followed

  • All bedding and pillows are clean and in good condition

The In-Room coffee program must include:

  • o  Nespresso coffee machine

  • o      Illy machines are also acceptable (MEA)

  • o  Coffee tray (if room design allows)

  • o  Black matte acrylic or black faux leather

  • The In-Room coffee program amenities must include:

  • o  2 coffee cups

  • o  2 saucers

  • o  2 bottles of water

  • o  2 Ritz-Carlton to-go cups with lids (US/CAN, CALA)

  • o  4 creamers

  • o  6 coffee pods

  • o  Sip straws

  • o  Stir sticks

  • o  Sugar, raw sugar, and at least one type of artificial sweetener (Sweet n' Low, Equal)

  • o  Tea

  • o  2 bags Mighty Leaf English Breakfast Organic (US/CAN, CALA)

  • o  2 bags Origins Chamomile (US/CAN, CALA)

Guestroom furnishings must be returned to their original place or position:

  • Curtains or shutters open

  • TV armoire closed, if applicable

  • Products must be replaced or returned to their original position or setting (unless the guest has obviously set things up to their linking e.g cleared the desk for their computer, moved the magazine to the bedside table to read):

  • Ashtray and matches - in bedroom and bathroom in smoking rooms, if applicable (non-US hotels)

  • Alarm cock/clock radio to standard

  • o Must have Bluetooth streaming capabilities

  • o Must be either Tivoli, Geneva, B&O or B&W

  • Laundry, pressing, dry cleaning bag and order form

  • Phone cords - coiled or hung; not tangled

  • Ice bucket - empty, dry and clean

  • Glassware – Placed upside down on logo coasters

  • o Logo not required for hotels without RC in the name (e.g. Hotel Arts Barcelona, Penha Longa)

  • o It is acceptable for rooms with built in glass holders to not place on coasters

  • Magazines - arranged

  • If Iron and Ironing board have been removed from the closet by the guest, they are to be neatly stored in an out of the way location in the room, not placed back in closet

  • Printed collateral must be in correct brand voice, and be replaced or refreshed and returned to the original position unless it has been moved by the guest to set up their room to their liking:

  • Stationery and envelopes

  • RC pens and note pads

  • Guest Room Directory

  • In Room Dining Guide

  • Doorknob menu

  • No in-room collateral (e.g. price lists, dialing information, menus) is placed under the glass on any furnishing in the room (e.g. nightstand, deck)

  • Check to ensure that the room/suite odor is neutral, no:

  • Heavy air freshener

  • Mildew or musty odor

  • Odor not neutral

  • Smoke or food odor

  • Other odors

  • All trash cans must be emptied and left with clean liners during housekeeping service

  • Vanity, sink, mirrors, cabinets and drawers are clean

  • Toilet, tub/shower and shower curtain are clean

  • On the bathtub bottom to check for dirt build-up

  • On and under the soap dishes to check for soap residue

  • On the shower walls/surround to check for soap residue

  • Bathroom floor is clean

  • Bedding is properly serviced and is clean and in good condition

  • Linen re-use program is followed

  • Carpet/floor is clean

  • Balcony/patio furniture is clean and straightened
