Club Entrance, Car Park and Building Exterior

  • The bins should be locked, either away in a compound away from the building, or if accessible, the lids should be closed

Cafe/Bar & Food Safety

  • Coffee machine (Franke), Baked potato oven, orange machine, ice machine, panini grill, Merrychef (if applicable) all operational

  • Product display is good throughout. Vending machines fully stocked.

  • Daily Specials available and an Events Calendar prominently displayed

  • Tables, chairs, carpet & menus clean and presentable.

  • Kitchen - Is all catering equipment kept in good condition and in working order? (Microwaves, grill, coffee machines etc)

  • Kitchen Cleanliness - Correct chemical used in the food prep area. Are walls, floors, ceilings, windows, doors, surfaces, dishwasher clean & operational

  • All food within fridges is labelled and dated accordingly with allergen info.

  • Daily, weekly and monthly food safety compliance checks are completed (check last month's worth of records) & GM Audits

Changing Rooms - Male/Female

  • Air conditioning working and filters look visibly clean

  • Shower Area - Floor clean/Shower Gel/Drains/Lights/Partitions/Ceiling tiles/Vents clean

  • Changing Area - Floor/Mirrors/Cubicles/Bins/Lights Check

  • Hair Dryers & Hand Dryers Operational - Check all are working & filters are clean/in place

  • Lockers - lockers numbered/clean inside and outside/doors open and close/hangers available

  • Toilets smell fresh and cleaned, vents clean, spin dryer working, playpen clean. Basin's have plugs and clean

  • Signage in changing rooms identifying the pool is not lifeguarded and referencing Pool Guidelines (including no Glass on Poolside)

Poolside

  • All facilities operating as normal (pool, spa, sauna, steam, poolside showers)

  • Poolside flooring, showers, window ledges & any furniture clean / no limescale & body fat build up

  • Sauna/Steam/Spa - Clean/Essence working/Temp correct/Good working order/safe and well presented

  • New Poolside Temperatures within range (Pool 28C, Spa 36C, Sauna 75-78C, Steam 44-46C, Pool Air 29C)

  • Pool Diary is fully completed & correct/remedial action recorded/daily & weekly checks, (incl monthly bacteriological testing & weekly water balance)

  • Pool Emergency Button present with clear signage - TESTED for functionality (heard at main reception)

  • Pool plant room and surrounds clean, tidy and organised - no clutter!

Gym

  • Staff available on gym floor / teaching class / or pool testing and in full uniform including name badge

  • Gym Floor Cleanliness- Flooring, skirting, ledges & mirrors, water fountains & surrounding areas

  • Gym Floor Cleanliness- CV equipment

  • CV Equipment signposted with Energy Saving measures and managed well by the club.

  • Gym Floor Cleanliness-Fixed resistance, Free Weights & racks

  • Is upholstery on all equipment in good condition

  • MyZone TV is on and working. Myzone receiver on full display and neat & tidy with no cables exposed.

Studios

  • Air conditioning in good working order, turned off when no classes, and vents clean.

  • Sound systems, microphones, speakers in good working order

  • Equipment stored safely & in good working order

  • Studio Timetable (A sized) on display near studio's along with Group Class Attendance Records

  • Les Mills equipment neatly presented (Smart Tech, bands, matts)

  • Studio Cleanliness - Flooring, skirting, ledges & mirrors, aircon vents, equipment, racks, mats, water fountains and surrounding flooring.

  • Studio Cleanliness - Spin bikes (handles, seat, frame, etc) and all operational with no faults reported

  • Club Count being used and fully completed (club usage, class usage, etc)

Spa

  • Check available rooms - bed dressing correct, rooms clean, displays good

  • Therapist cabinet draws clean, clutter free and well organised. Doors closing properly & hinges working. Cabbi units operational

  • Retail displays vibrant, stocked and updated. Glass is clean and not smeared

  • Posters and marketing within noticeboards or snap frame - not stuck on walls / doors, etc

  • Walls, floors and doors free of oil

  • Karndean flooring cleaned and shined to the company standard

Operations & Health & Safety

  • Member Care and chemical stores safe and organised

  • Corridors - Carpet clean/Ledges dusted/Pictures dusted

  • Staff rooms - clean, tidy and smells fresh. 2018 H&S Poster, Referral Poster on board. Hard Surface Trigger bottle & blue roll at sink
