General

  • 1. Are any areas of plate overhang greater than 10mm?<br>Note: this needs to be checked when walls are stood up.

  • 2. Are there any areas where excess slab needs trimming for a minimum cavity of 20mm?

Walls

  • 1. Are walls straight, plumb and square?

  • 2. Are all Shear block installed at correct locations and to truss guide standards

  • 4. Were processed bracing nails used for bracing?

  • 5. Are corner wall junction blocks installed 300mm max gap between blocking?

  • 6. Are room sizes as per plan, and marked up correctly?

  • 7. Are all bulkhead sizes and heights as per plan?

  • 8. Are wall heights correct? <br>Action: Measure when they are delivered

  • 9. Check point loads – double studs to girder trusses etc.

  • 10. Are shower wall studs at 300mm centers?

  • 11. Are Shower walls installed correct way up?

Trusses

  • 1. Is heating platform 1800 square with bearers on edge at 600mm centers?

  • 2. Are triple grips to creepers over 1800mm long?

  • 3. Are triple grips to jack trusses?

  • 4. Are triple grips installed vertically with nailing 4/4/2?

  • 5. Are truss braces nailed to underside of top plate?

  • 6. Are bottom chord truss ties as per plan?<br>

  • 7. Are hips and valleys straight?

  • 8. Are trusses installed and located as per fabrication spec?

  • 9. Are valley boards fitted and ends supported as required?

Double Storey

  • 1. Is the stairwell void protection installed?

  • 2. Are ground floor and first floor walls in line with each other at void?

  • 3. Are frames fixed to steel as per engineering?

  • 4. Are floor sheet joins blocked?

  • 5. Are sheet flooring screwed fixings 150mm to ends 200mm intermediate?

  • 6. Squash blocks – both sides of silent joists and one side to rim beam as per joist layout

  • 7. Are noggins for stair handrail installed?

  • 8. Is hoop iron fitted to underside of joists as per engineering?

General Items

  • 1. Does the flooring require further levelling to either ground or first floor? (+/- 4mm level)

  • Ground floor (Refer to Stage 1 SM or post pour write up)

  • First Floor areas to check include outside doorways and if steel beam is applicable

  • 2. Does the bin require emptying? (Note date booked for empty if required).

  • 3. Has the site been cleaned up including slab swept clean and ready for following trades? (reminder that a clean site will encourage clean trades)
