5S Audit

Shift:

Is the area free of personal belongings such as clothing, lunch boxes, newspapers, magazines, or food?

Is the area free of unnecessary equipment or tools?

Is scrap properly contained, identified, and tagged appropriately?

Trash container(s) are NOT overflowing?

Are all dirty gloves and/or rags disposed of properly?

Are booms, mops, and dustpans properly stored in designated locations?

In regards to the team/shift being audited, is the Team Kiosk clean and contain only necessary information (e.g., no hand written notices)?

In regards to the team/shift being audited, are the metrics up to date on the Team Kiosk?

Are the following areas free of dirt, dust, grime, and lint: 1) Team Kiosk, 2) team supply closet, 3) electrical panels, 4) control boxes, and 5) underneath line?

Are machinery, equipment, and tools wiped clean of dirt, dust, grime, and lint?

Is the area free of safety hazards on the floor (water, oil, grease, chemicals)?

Is the floor free of debris (nuts, screws, bolts, trash)?

Is floor demarcation visible, unobstructed, and painted appropriately?

Are material drop zones and/or racking clean and orderly? If labels exist, are they in good condition and legible?

Are racks, mobile equipment, and cabinets free of stickers, calendars, pictures, postings, etc.?

Are all material racks in good condition? All crossbars and shelving are in good condition; no indication of damage?

Is material located in correct containers and designated locations by part numbers and neatly stacked?

Is the WIP and/or racking within the capacity limits?

Are all hoses and cords hung appropriately (i.e., would not be considered a trip hazard)?

Do all stations have SWI's with PPE mandates? If they exist, our operators following the PPE mandates?
