  • Parking areas are clearly marked including disabled spaces, visitor parking and emergency access. Parking rules should be adhered to.

  • Direction signs for public and delivery drivers clearly marked, visible and in good order.

  • Are the roadways in good order - no potholes / debris etc?

  • Any areas bins and skips are clean and debris free. Bins and skips are clearly identified?

  • High visibility clothing worn in the vehicle operation work area. Locations for PPE wearing are clearly marked.

  • Any pedestrian areas are clearly marked and signposted including routes for pedestrians & pedestrian crossings

  • Cars Lorries, trailers, company vehicles stored/parked appropriately for the yard operation.

  • Suitable hazard notices & signs exist around drying zones and storage areas.

  • Fire evacuation gathering areas are clearly marked. Fire exit signs and routes are clearly visible

  • The exterior condition of building fabric is in good order.

  • Area standards are in place and adhered to (photo of area standards)

  • Area generally is clean and free of litter

  • Any fencing / perimeter walling is in good condition

  • Information board containing -5 S chart and previous weeks report displayed in the work area.
