Pager Usage

  • If running drinks or food, then you must have a pager

  • If you go on a break or finish your shift you must pass the pager on to the next person or a responsible person

  • If you need to leave your task for any reason, a TL or manager must be informed

Running Drinks

  • If no drinks to run, then clear the floor with a bus tub - only return to the bar when the pager buzzes

  • If running app station 1 drinks then you are responsible for clearing the library, main room and smoking beer garden

  • If running app station 2 drinks then responsible for clearing family area, stone room and non-smoking beer garden

  • When running drinks, NEVER return empty handed - clear plates and glasses on the way back to the bar (drop off at bus tub stations, glasswash or potwash)

  • If your drinks checks are yellow or red then ask for help on the radio

  • Our pub drinks target is 3:00 minutes

Running Food

  • If no food to run or checkbacks to do then clear the floor with bus tubs, only return to the gantry when the pager buzzes

  • Always keep 10 sets of single and 10 sets of double cutlery wrapped at the gantry ready to go

  • Food running is the priority, then checkbacks, then clearing plates and resetting tables

  • NEVER return to the kitchen empty handed, always bring plates back as you are coming back in

  • If you have more than two checks to run then ask for help on the radio

  • When running food; remember the check, clear the check, get the cutlery, run the food

  • If you forget what’s on a food check - use the show button

  • If there is food to run, leave any plates to be scraped until it’s quieter

  • Our pub food service time target is 7:30 minutes

General Floor

  • The floor should be swept once an hour at least, when clearing tables check the area around them and sweep if needed

  • Coffee machines should be checked for beans, empty grounds containers and milk is filled every half hour when they aren’t being used by customers
