sites such as restaurants, cafés and those
using LPG cylinders at outdoor events to verify
compliance with work health and safety obligations,
and provide practical advice and assistance to
improve safety standards in areas such as:
• Storage of LPG cylinders
• Ensuring all portable appliances connected
to LPG cylinders are approved by a certifier
accredited by NSW Fair Trading and they are
safe for use.
• Basic safety requirements of using LPG such as only operating in adequately ventilated areas,
checking for leaks and having information
available for workers such as a safety data sheet.
