Pre-start Site Checklist

Induction and Training

  • Trade Induction Pack completed and on site?

  • What is the reason for not having the induction pack on site?

  • All workers on site have completed the ABN Group Induction and signed the Pack?

  • Ensure all workers have read and signed the Trade Induction Pack before commencing work.

Hazard Assessment

  • Do you have a generic Safe Work Procedure (SWP) for the works that you do?

  • Please complete the SWP template located on page 26 of the Trade Induction Pack

  • For works on the upper floor of a double storey home

  • Is the void platform in place and all window and door openings barricaded?

  • Contact the Site Manager to rectify or install barricades before commencing work.

  • Have any hazards been identified on this site which may affect your ability to work to your SWP?

  • Please complete a site specific SWMS in the next section before commencing works.

  • Will you be completing any works that are deemed High Risk?<br>High Risk works include;<br>Working at a height above 2 metres<br>Working with Mobile Plant or Equipment (concrete pumps, excavators, etc.)<br>Working in excavations deeper than 1.5 metres

  • Please complete a site specific SWMS in the next section for High Risk works before commencing.

Compliance

  • All electrical equipment and leads are tested, tagged and up to date?<br>RCD boxes are tested monthly?

  • DO NOT USE ANY UNTAGGED OR OUT OF DATE EQUIPMENT ON SITE!

  • Does the work involve the use of Mobile Plant?

  • Plant or Equipment is regularly serviced and maintained and a pre-start operational check has been completed?

  • Will you be using any Hazardous Substances?

  • Are Safety Data Sheets available for review or in case of an emergency?

  • Ensure that you have access to Safety Data Sheets for Hazardous Substances, these are available from the supplier.
