Engine

  • Check oil level

  • Ensure battery tie down is installed

  • Check glow plugs (if unsure how to test ask, power at the source does not mean they are good)

Hydraulics

  • Check oil level

  • Check hydraulic operation

  • Check for hydraulic leaks

  • Check accumulator bleed down valves

  • Test recovery hook if installed

  • Check to see if cylinders have load check, record which do or do not

Brake Test

  • Ensure brake test decal is installed

  • Test park brake

  • Test service brake

  • Test emergency brake

  • Check brake gauges/lights

  • Check brake impending circuit

  • Check ABA circuit

  • Check accumulator pressure

  • Check CRN certification if applicable( record CRN number )

  • Check and record brake charge pressure (take picture of guages for record)

Differential

  • Check oil levels

  • Check planetary oil levels

  • Check all drivelines

  • Check all driveline guards

  • Check driveline brake oil level

  • Ensure axle breathers are routed correctly

Wheels and tires

  • Check wheel nuts and studs, ensure torqued correctly

  • Check lock rings

  • Check tire pressure

  • Check tires for cuts or bulges

  • Record tire ID numbers (RF,LF,RR,LR.....)

Drifter / attachments

  • Side rods torqued to manufacturers specification

  • Saddle bolts torqued to manufacturers specification

  • Accumulators charged to manufacturers specification

  • Schrader valve caps are installed

  • Drifters flushed with winter coolant for shipping

  • Striking bar tapped up for shipping

Controls

  • Check operator controls to ensure proper orientation

  • Ensure all labeling is installed and legible

  • Check remote controls

  • Check E-stops

Auto Grease

  • Check for proper operation

  • Check all lines

  • Grease entire unit

  • Fill resivoir

Water flushing system

  • Ensure entire system is flushed with coolant

  • Disconnect cooler hoses where possible

  • Disconnect water pump hoses if applicable

  • Open all water drain cocks for shipping

  • Install tag in operators cab for shipping(what's open and disconnected)

Safety Equipment

  • 3 point contact in place and painted fluorescent green

  • Brake test, CFM, Max # of occupancy, maximum speed tags are in place

  • Check Ansul 101 fire suppression system, and fire extinguisher if applicable

  • Test fire suppression shut down system if installed

  • Check operation of remote control system if applicable

  • Check that safety locks are in place (midship, box, scissor, boom, covers and lids)

  • Check for proper tow hooks and safety chains if applicable

  • Check unit for slipping hazards and proper anti-skid material

  • Check for 2 wheel chocks of proper size and brackets

  • Check that proper guards, hoods and safety latches are in place

  • Check that all heat shields are installed and in place

  • Check that all pinch points are labelled

  • Check that whip checks are installed on pneumatic lines

  • Check red rear tail light operation

  • Check rotating beacon operation, proper colors as per site requirements

  • Glow stick holder (Goldcorp only)

  • 45° blue flashing lights (Goldcorp man carriers only)

  • Ensure seat belt(s) are installed and are functioning correctly with no frays or cuts

  • Ensure 600 amp fuse in installed

Unit must be thoroughly washed and cleaned prior to shipping
