Inspect before entering shop

Ensure all paper work and direction are explained prior to starting the task
Ensure all proper PPE and tooling are present to properly complete the task
Do walk around, check oils and ensure safe to operate
Start machine and check for leaks
Inspect operation and adjustment of all controls
Inspect mirrors and back up camera operation and adjustment
Check condition of seats, suspension, switches and mounting
Check condition of seat belts
Check wheel brake operation, see manual for procedure
Check emergency brake application, see manual for procedure
Check all hydraulic and steering functions
Check operation of back up alarm
Run machine around yard for 2 hours(periodically check for leaks or faults)
Do exhaust gas test and ensure scrubber is working(fill information onto diesel permit, take photo and attach report here also)
Check for unusual noises and vibrations
Check operation of heater, switches and thermostat (record heater temp)
Check operation of air conditioning, switches and thermostat (record air conditioning temp)
Check to ensure evaporator fans are working
Check air conditioning and cab filter
Check heater and air conditioning ducting
Check condition of all windows
Check condition of window wipers and washers
Check operation of all doors and windows
Record engine temp
Record heater temp

CAB

Inspect operation of front light switch
Inspect operation of rear light switch
inspect operation of cab light
Check all guages and warning lights
Check all circuit breakers and fuses
Check starter operation
Check tray/box up indicator function
Inspect condition of all window and door seals
Inspect and record ROPS/FOPS tag
Inspect condition of cab interior

Initial checks

Ensure all covers and panels are on machine
ensure all tags are on machine and record
Machine is washed thoroughly for inspection

Decals

Check to ensure all gauges and switches are labelled
Check all safety areas are labelled(pinch point, no step, rotating parts, etc.....)
Check all functions are labelled
Check all tanks are labelled
Check all brand name decals(numbers or letters) are in good order
Check all add on equipment decals are in good order
Check that all engine, trans, diff and scrubber decals are in good order

Engine compartment

Check condition of motor mounts, rubbers, mounting to engine, torque on bolt
Check air cleaner housing, piping and intake clamps
Inspect exhaust manifold and piping
Inspect scrubber/purifier, ensure proper mounting and ports are there for testing
Record purifier/scrubber data
Inspect starter, mounting, wiring
Test starter draw (ensure batteries are fully charges) record data
Inspect fan, fan hub and belts, condition and adjustments
Inspect alternator, mounting, belts and wiring
Check over entire engine for leaks (Oil, Coolant, Fuel)
Inspect all engine harnesses for condition, mounting and routing
Record engine idle rpm
Record engine high idle
Note any abnormalities(smoke, noises, vibrations)
Check condition of radiator, piping, pressure up and test, pressure test rad cap
Check condition of air to air, piping and mounting
Check engine oil cooler, mounting and piping

Transmission and Torque

Check Transmission oil level and condition
Take picture of transmission tag
Check operation of shifting and neutral start
Check transmission mounts and mounting bolts
Check convertor mounting bolts
Inspect high speed driveline and ujoints

Front Axle

Check axle and planetary oil level and condition

Inspect and lubricate all front drivelines, ujoints and hanger bearings

Rear Axle

Check axle and planetary oil level and condition
Check over complete axle for leaks
Remove and inspect and clean breather
Check condition and tightness of axle tie bolts
Check condition of oscillation bushing, trunnions and ensure bushings takes grease
Check condition on oscillating axle stops
Check condition and torque all wheel nuts
Inspect tires and rims, check tire pressure
Check park brake for condition, mounting and leaks
Inspect and lubricate all front drivelines, ujoints and hanger bearings
inspect all hosing and wiring under rear half of machine

Check all nozzles, mounts and blow off caps
Check for presence and condition of checks and blow off valve
Check hand held fire extinguisher for presence, mounting and condition
Ensure fire extinguisher inspection tag is present and current
Ensure seal are in place on actuators
Ensure actuation decals are at each actuator
Test that the shut down system is working
Ensure that there are three actuators in the system
Check nitrogen bottles, weigh and record data
Check one way checks, ensure one for each actuator
Check Ansul tank condition and date
Test remote shut down( ensure no accidental activation, disconnect nitrogen and ansul bottles)
