Jobs to be done Weekly

Please do not start weekly cleaning tasks that cannot be finished during the busy periods in the mornings from approx 6am to 11am

Stocktake and Order list

  • Stocktake Coffee Beans, make sure the front cupboard is filled before stocktaking numbers

  • Stock take Cafe Distributors and place order

  • Check the Camera Monitor in office to make sure the time on bottom right corner of screen is correct

  • Did the Milk Bladders arrive on your shift?

Loading the Juggler

  • Before installing the bladders in the Juggler ensure the date is written on the front off the Fridge

  • When installing bladders, please make sure they are installed from bottom to top to stop the misalignment issues causing the bladders to leak

  • After installing Bladders, set a 10 minute timer to check the silver trays for any leaks

  • Always ensure any excess air is the bladder bags has been drained before loading in red tub

  • Always double check the white plug is removed before inserting into fridge male spicket

  • Always load bladders from the bottom used shelf up to ensure female valve on bladder is not pushed up while sliding tray into juggler fridge causing the male spicket inside fridge to be misaligned with Bladder bag

  • Always visually check the small silver tray does not have any excessive milk on it after loading up

  • Always slowly slide trays in, don't ever force as this indicates an misalignment issue

  • Always have a second person check and sign below to acknowledge they have checked with the Barista to ensure there are no leaks evident on the drip tray

  • Please make sure the bladder bags are inside a milk crate to prevent the bag being damaged and leaking

Milk Delivery

  • Write the expiry dates off the newly delivered milk bladders and cartons and write this on the front of the back fridge before putting milk away.

  • At the earliest possible time the milk must be packed away in the back fridge

  • Check that the General Waste/Recycle Bins have been put out by the road side, if not put them out straight away for collection before the shift starts

  • Take empty rubbish bag over to the Wooden table and empty bin, ensure table is kept nice and clean for customers

Barista Open Checklist

  • The chain must be put up and stay up until the store opens

  • After you park your car,ensure the chain has been put back up to prevent cars coming through prior to shop opening

  • Please don't leave the chain laying across the driveway as cars driving over the chain will cause it to break

Items to be completed before start of your shift starting time-Please clock on ten minutes before you start

  • Always wash and sanitise your hands before starting your shift

  • Clock on to Deputy, check the news feed, read and check the box "I CONFIRM" on any items required,

  • Check for any Heads Up in I Auditor and acknowledge as required

  • Fit name badge to your shirt where the customer can see it

  • Always carry a permanent marker on you for marking cups and food containers

  • Always synchronize I safety auditor on your phone before starting your audit for the day

  • Check your Action list in I SAFETY Auditor for any assigned tasks and complete as required

  • Phone must be set to DO Not Disturb & All Social Media notifications must be switched off on your phone-(Facebook/Instagram/Snapchat and TikTok at a minimum) This will prevent you being distracted during your shift

  • Unlock the back door using the key

  • Please sign

  • If any issues were identified with the previous days closing cleanliness, please communicate directly with the closing barista from previous day and provide constructive feedback on how they can improve

  • Please make sure photos have been taken and clear concise information is provided to ensure the team member understands how they can improve closing the store

  • Turn Sandwich Press on at wall and the ON switch

  • Switch both Coffee Machines on and wait for them to heat up

  • Place coffee beans from the day before in the assigned hoppers on top of each machine then test the grind of each hopper by running 3 shots and taking an average before setting final grind as per coffee testing sheet on espresso machines.

  • Was yesterday a Public Holiday or was the shop closed?

  • Reactivate Outside Lights Timer in Switchboard adjacent to IPAD inside Shop by switching the circuit breaker back on

  • Switch on Isolator at the bottom of Pylon Sign near corner of property

  • Check the Internet Router in office to ensure the Blue Lights are all on the Front of the modem which sits on the Camera Hard Drive, are the lights all Illuminated blue including the internet light?

  • Go to Master Till and Restart Screen and check for Internet Icon upon restart, is it on now?

  • When restarting the Modem it can take up to ten minutes to restore the connection so please wait before deciding the internet is down, wait until it all boots back up!!!

  • Restart the Modem by switching off on the back and wait ten seconds then switch back on, this should take approx 5 minutes to fully restart, did this repair the issue?

  • All good the till should now be operational

  • All good Internet is ok

  • Check the Master Till TYRO EFTPOS machine is operational by attempting to make a transaction, was this possible?

  • Check the 3G on the TYRO unit is showing signal similar to on your mobile phone

  • Check the TYRO is paired with POS by minimizing the POS screen and double click on the TYRO icon and check the machine is paired under the pairing tab, is it paired?

  • Hold your finger on the Yellow button on EFTPOS machine until it reboots, did this fix the issue?

Blue/Red and Wand Cloths required in the following areas

  • Ensure Red Cloths are only used for cleaning benchtops and any surfaces not being used to serve or sit food items on

  • Ensure Blue cloths are only used for any utensils/cutting boards where food will come into contact with to prevent any cross contamination

  • Next to cutting board adjacent to Sandwich Press

  • Using knife sharpener, sharpen the large NON-serrated edge knives used for cutting the sandwiches

  • Turn all sink plugs around to ensure they are up the correct way to prevent any solid waste going down the drain.

  • Switch Juggler on by pressing manual switch in then test Juggler is working by putting small jug under each tap, test the milk by tasting a small cup to ensure their is not any evidence of cleaning solution

  • Remove gastronom rectangle containers from freezer and place on bench near Vita mix and Juggler taps to store the cartons of milk on the bench top.

  • If not already done, empty Dishwasher completely and wipe dry all contents of kitchen cutlery and containers and place in appropriate place, DO NOT leave any plastic containers on sink top, dry and place back in their location in fridge or freezer.<br>

Avo Smash Tray

  • Ensure the Avo Smash Mix bowl is made up and ready for the store opening, ensure the Avo tray has all the cutlery below required to serve the Avo on the toast

  • Place paper towel on base of tray before placing items below on it

  • Ice Cream Scoop for measuring Avo

  • Fork for mashing Avo

  • Butter Knife for applying Vegemite to bread

  • Small tea spoon for serving Fetta

  • Tub of Fetta

  • Lemon Juice

  • Check Hard Avocado Container and move ripe Avocados to Soft Avocado Container

  • Soft Avacado Sistemer Tub must be filled with Water to preserve the Avos from getting to ripe and unusable

  • Ensure spare bowl of Avacado is in back fridge ready for when the mashed in bowl runs out in front area

Tasks to be done when its time to open the Store

  • At opening time for the day alarm on IPAD will sound, raise all the blinds

  • When IPAD Alarms with the opening time DOUBLE Check the Till Operator has turned the OPEN/CLOSED sign around above Roller door

  • Ensure chain and the orange reflector post have been removed from driveway

  • Please do not leave chain laying over edge of curb

  • Check the Use By Date register has been updated and a list of items going out of date are listed next to till

Receiving Goods into the Shop

  • Did you take delivery of any goods coming into the shop today?

  • Make sure the items were counted/ticked off/signed and stamped ENTERED before delivery person leaves

  • Caramelized onion- remove frozen pack from freezer if the amounts is below 200grams
