Reception

  • Check management diary for entries

  • Ensure PA system (Tannoy) is switched on.

  • Ensure music system is turned on and playing music in corridors

  • Turn reception till on and sauna screen.

  • Ensure that you are signed in on the staff register for the day.

  • Ensure all staff sign in on staff register

  • Ensure all shifts are covered on Rota

  • Ensure boilers are on (hand) in boiler room if necessary

  • Ensure you have a radio on you for communication with staff and that you sign the radio out and in

  • Ensure staff members carry radios on them and they are signed out and in

  • Check to ensure that the de-fib is in full working order and ready to use.

  • Check Fitness enquire emails for day pass

  • Turn mag swipe system on

  • Unlock the managers office door as the fire exit for this area is in the managers store.

  • Check sickness file and complete any return to work forms

  • Collect reception floats from safe

  • Raise shutters from external windows.

  • Collect IPOD'S from safe and put on charge and ensure you sync them

  • Read policies / procedures and sign sheet in admin office

  • Load TRP on your computer and check surveys and to do list

  • Count reception float and place in till drawer. Log into reception PC.

Fire Checks

  • Ensure that all fire exits are un-locked within the building.

  • Ensure that the green fire exit gate lock is working (behind the fitness suite).

  • Ensure that all fire exits are clear and free from obstructions.

  • Check all distribution boards are working correctly and that none have tripped out. These are located in <br>(1)!admin office<br>(2)plant room<br>(3)wet change<br>(4)fitness suite <br>(5)room opposite reception

  • Ensure that all fire extinguishers are checked to ensure they are full and are tamper free.

  • Ensure that all fire call points have been tested to ensure they work correctly.

Dry-Side Change

  • Ensure all toilets are in working order.

  • Visual check all posters to ensure they are displaying the correct information

  • Check all showers and taps have been turned on to ensure working correctly. Run for at least 2 minutes.

  • Ensure fire exit door is unlocked in male change

Fitness suite

  • Ensure check sheet has been completed

  • Check gym doors are open and the televisions are on.

  • Ensure air conditioning units are working correctly within the fitness suite.

  • Visual check all posters to ensure they are displaying the correct information

  • Ensure all equipment is in working order

  • Visually check all lighting is working correctly within this area

  • Regularly monitor staff working practises.

  • Ensure Gym staff are engaging with customers and checking TRP

Foyer

  • Visual check all posters to ensure they are displaying the correct information

  • Turn televisions on in the foyer.

  • Visually check all lights to ensure all are working correctly.

  • Check for cleanliness in this area.

Wet-Side Change

  • Check all taps and showers to ensure they are working correctly. Run for approximately 2 minutes.

  • Visually check that all lighting is working correctly within this area.

  • Check for cleanliness in this area.

  • Visual check all posters to ensure they are displaying the correct information

  • Ensure all toilets are working correctly within this area.

  • Regularly monitor staff working practises.

Pool plant checks

  • Pool test (7.00am)

  • Back wash is completed

  • Test call point in plant room

  • Ensure chlorine bin is topped up

  • Complete HTH / salt stock sheet if necessary

  • Visually check that all lighting is working correctly within this area.

  • Check all taps to ensure they are working correctly. Run for approximately 2 minutes.

  • Pool test (11.00am)

  • Pool test (2.30pm)

  • Run hose pipe for approximately 2 minutes

  • Turn tap on calorifier to allow access water to drain.
