Boiler Truck Inspection

Dose burner chamber rain damper close automatically when turned off?

Are burner coils on a routine de-scaling schedule?

Is "Fire Eye" gasket in good condition?

Is "Fire Eye" protective tube clean and in good condition?

Are "Whip Checks" in use on pressure hoses?

Are steam hoses and fittings, steam rated and in good condition?

Are making sure boiler trucks (while in use) have wheel chocks precaution of airbrake failure?

Are steam hoses facing away from or mounted on 7 ft upright stanchions to eliminate contact with pedestrian traffic near by?

Do we have proper blowoff valves and gauges at points to keep from blowups?

Are we using proper ends on hoses to prevent future blowoffs due the constant bending, wear/tear and aging? (at threaded ends)

Do we safety whip checks and or something to prevent a hose blowoff struck by injury or steam injury?

Are all the safety relief valves operational

Are all the steam valves in the correct open or closed position before turning on burner

Are all the warning labels on the truck

Are pedestrians/employees out of the way of steam/hot water discharge

Do you have safety cables on steam/air hose to prevent hose whips if hoses are blown or couplings/clamps fail

Are all whip checks and safety pins in place on boiler hoses and airlines?

Have all boiler hoses and airlines been inspected and in good condition?

Are all gauges and valves in good condition and working properly?

Is the boiler full of fuel and all fluid levels checked on generator/air compressor?

Have you inspected/tested all safety switches, low-water cutoff, pop-off valve, high pressure safety switch etc.?

Is the burner outlet clear of utility wires/ trees overhead

Is the water filter clean

Is there any leaks from loose fittings

is the vehicle blocking any driveways

is the hydraulic fluid full

are all the gauges working properly

is the diesel tank full before arriving to the jobsite
