EyeFoss Wheat

  • Did the sampler measure 1scoop per 5 tonnes to create a composite sample

  • Did the sampler mix the sample thoroughly by hand

  • Did the sampler place 1 aluminium scoop in the EyeFoss <br>

  • Did the sampler place to 2 aluminium scoops in the infractec 1241TWM

  • Did the sampler scoop and spread 1 aluminium scoop on to the large sample tray

  • Fill the chondrometer correctly

  • Balance is level and tared with the stainless steel bowl on before capturing weight

  • Spread the half litre sample on the large tray and look for large seeds or other grain defects ie fungi and sprouted

  • Spread the half litre sample on the large sample tray and remove radish pods or stones to weigh

  • Place wheat screen on agtator

  • Coloured strip on the tray is facing the front of the agtator

  • Switch is set on 40

  • Empty the large sample tray evenly onto the screen

  • Balance is level and tared with the stainless steel bowl on before capturing weight of screenings

  • Assess screenings for defects

  • If small foreign seeds are present in the screenings remove and weigh

  • If sand is present in the screenings remove and count

  • Remove white heads from tray after agtator has stopped weigh and capture results
