Audit

Site Assessment

Are all CBH staff wearing Hi- Vis Long and long and appropriate foot wear

Are all site visitors/truck drivers wearing Hi Vis and appropriate foot wear

when samplers are outside of the sample shed and sample deck which is not covered are they wearing additional PPE ( eye protection that was issued and a hat

Is the spear being safely placed into the truck/trailer (manual sites)

Are three points of contact maintained and are chains/rails in place when using the access bridge.

Are the correct spearing rates per vessel being collected
How many and number of trucks did you observed

are all spears taken at least 50cm from sides and corners

Are growers samples results being recorded on non CBH paper

when using elastrator rings to seal sample bags are they doing it safely.

Sample Shed Criteria

Is the yellow assessment manual available

Is the white Visual Standards available

Is the orange Receival Standards available

Is the current season grower Receival system users guide available (Saturn)

Is the current staff hand book available

Is the current seasons variety chart displayed

Is there a Official Dispute Kit on site

Are sampling certificates displayed

can loads be checked for contamination/or be rejected at any time

Is the sample shed clean

Is the sampling equipment clean

General Questions

Have you seen your RPIC/manager today

Have you seen the Area Quality Coordinator/Terminal Quality Officer today if not when and who is it

Fatigue Monitoring

Are you aware of CBHs Fatigue Management rules

Have you completed more than 12 continuous days in the sample shed

Have you completed more than 12 continuous hours in the sample shed

Have you been involved in any night shift if so did you have more than a 24 hour break between day and night shift change over

Wheat

Was the paddock number/name recorded in the computer

Did the sampler measure 1scoop per 5 tonnes to create a composite sample

Did the sampler mix the sample thoroughly by hand

Are the chondrometer parts a matching set

Was the chondrometer filled correctly

Balance is level and tared with the stainless steel bowl on before capturing the results

Spreads the half litre sample on the large tray and looks for large seeds or other defects ie fungi and sprouted

Places wheat screen on agtator

Coloured strip is to the front of agtator

Switch is on 40

Empties the large sample tray evenly onto the screen

Balance is level and tared with stainless steel bowl on before capturing results

Assesses screenings for defects

If small foreign seeds are present in screenings removes and weighs if required

Checks the BPM on small sample tray

Was a second BPM taken from the bucket if not where was it taken from

Places barley screen no agtator

Ensures the coloured strip is facing the front

Switch is set to 40

Assesses screening for defects

If small foreign seeds are present in screenings removes and weighs if reqiured

Uses clean grain to fill 100 seed tray from the top of the screen on agtator

Rolls tray until all slots are full and removes excess grain

Assesses the 100 grains for defects

Was the GSS sample taken

Canola

Was the paddock number/name recorded on the computer

Did the sampler measure 1 scoop per 5 tonnes to create a composite sample

Was the sample thoroughly mixed by hand

If Rutherglen bugs are present weighs a 100g sample

Weighs a 500g sample scooping from bucket

Places the 500g sample over canola screen

Taps, moves or shake the screen until no more material falls through

Weighs large admixture and captures results

Turns knob on Areovac until needle is stable on green line before adding canola

Waits until no more material passes through before turning off Areovac off

Using sample tray roll any whole canola seeds out of admixture from top tray

Weighs material in top tray as admixture

Weighs out 10g of clean canola

Places remainder of clean grain in the infratec

From the clean seed weigh out 1g

Heated seed test done if required

Was the GSS sample done

GM Canloa

Is the box ticked for GMO deliveries

Has the GMO stamp been applied to GM CDFs

Is there a GM only assessment area

We're the appropriates boxes filled out on the reverse of CDF

Was the canola returned back to the same truck

Was the hydraulic spear run once after the sample and cleaned

Is there a separate yellow manual spear for GM

Was a CANAUD sample taken

GSS sample taken to the yellow GSS bucket

Was the GM discharged at a different grid to non GM

Lupins

Was the paddock number/name recorded in the computer

Did the sampler measure 1 scoop per 5 tonnes to create a composite

Was the sample mix thoroughly by hand

Scoop 5 BPM out of bucket

Weighs 200g from bucket

Place LUPIN screen correctly onto bottom tray

Ensures coloured strip on screen is at the front

Moves, shakes or taps the LUPIN screen until on more material passes through

Adds any none LUPIN material from top of the screen to the material in the bottom tray

Conducts other defects assessment over whole 200g

Was the GSS sample taken

Oats

Did the sampler make a composite sample 1 scoop per 5 tonnes

Did the sampler mix the composite sample by hand

Are the chondrometer matching parts

Was the chondrometer filled correctly

Balance is leved and tared with the stainless steel bowl on before capturing weight

Spreads half litre on to large tray looking for foreign material assessment and removes stones

Scoop 2BPM from bucket onto small tray

Add 3 more BPM from bucket if required

Place wheat screen on agtator

Coloured strip at front

Switch set on 20

Empties the large tray on to screen

Weighs screening

Assesses screening for defects

If canola is present in screenings separates canola and weights before weighing SFS

If SFS are present in screenings removes and weighs

Was the GSS sample taken
