Pre Use Checklist

  • Safe Operation: I have read the Standard Operating Procedure and understand how to safely use the CNC Brake Press Machine.

  • Correct PPE: Ensure you are wearing the correct PPE before operating the machinery. The correct PPE includes safety boots, safety glasses, hi-vis clothing, safety gloves and hearing protection.

  • Pre Use Check: Ensure workspace and walkways are free of any trip and fall hazards.

  • Pre Use Check: Visually check for any signs of wear, rust, or damage on the machine’s exterior.

  • Pre Use Check: Ensure the machine frame and structure are stable and in good condition.

  • Pre Use Check: Verify that all electrical components, including switches, buttons, and lights, are functioning properly.

  • Pre Use Check: Check and ensure there are no damages to the machines foot pedal device and that it is functioning correctly.

  • Pre Use Check: Visually check the wiring for any signs of wear or damage.

  • Pre Use Check: Test all buttons, switches, indicator lights, and foot controls to ensure they are working effectively.

  • Pre Use Check: Check interlocks and safety guards for proper operation.

  • Pre Use Check: Check the the upper and lower dies for defects and cracks.

  • Pre Use Check: Test the accuracy of the back gauge and the stop finger's position.

  • Pre Use Check: Ensure the oil and hydraulic circuit is clean.

  • Pre Use Check: Check if there are any leaks on the machine rams.

  • Pre Use Check: Ensure all bolts, nuts, and screws are tightened and check the connection between the piston and the ram.

  • Pre Use Check: Ensure components such as the ball screw, guide rail, back gauge and gears are sufficiently lubricated.

  • Note: It's important not to over-lubricate, as this can cause insufficient friction or component contamination.
